We (husband and our two teenagers) spent Christmas in Honolulu. Weather is perfect. Perfect for long walks, swimming, and photography. We see rainbows everyday, sometimes even TWO rainbows next to each other!
Even before boarding the plane, my family already complained about how heavy my camera/lenses are. Then there's the issue that the hotel room safe is too small for my gear. Then how I slowed everyone down when I stopped to shoot. By the third day(or was it second?), they all disliked my camera... well, until I showed them their images. The idea of putting them in their Facebook appealed to them. So, cooperated and posed they did.
There was power outage from 6:45 pm to 8ish in the morning. Long lines at coffee shops the following morning the blackout.
Overall, it was a nice relaxing vacation. Equipment used: Canon G9 and Canon 20D with 70-200 lens. Comments welcome.
I asked my son if he could walk with me along the streets after dinner so I could take night shots. He happily agreed when I told him I could take shots of him for his Facebook. Silhouettes are one of my favorites.
