Andrew : It is indeed a joy to photo shoot newborn Andrew James Sanchez. Inday Klarisse and I headed to Irvine to see the new baby - I, armed with camera and Inday with her freshly baked lemon square. As I started taking pictures of the baby, siling ni Ojing: "Ay, ngaa ulo ang sali kuha mo, diri sa tubang o." Rose reprimanded him: "Abi, Ojing, bay-i lang da si Annie." I took a quick lunch - bistek Tagalog(luto ni Ojing) and steamingly hot rice. Fernando (new Dad) and a friend Mario came home for lunch. Jennifer is doing well as a new mom. I found out, too, hadlok si Ojing magkugos. This gallery can also be viewed as a slideshow (upper right hand of the screen.) Family and friends viewing this gallery can add comments for Fernando, Jennifer, Ojing or Rose on individual photos. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. As in my other shoots, I always aim for unposed images. I believe that in doing so, I'm able to capture a moment in time. Through my lens I hope I am able to convey to the viewers the joy that emanates from Ojing and Rose with the coming of Andrew James. Christmas in Hawaii : Dec. 22-28, 2008. Weather in Honolulu was perfect. Perfect for hours of walking. One carry-on bag and a backpack had my photo equipment. I slowed my family down when I see interesting images to shoot. I got behind leaving the room because I had to carefully place some lenses in the very small safe. Sometimes they(my family)helped me carry it. Klarisse said: "Mom, I am going to Pearl Harbor only if you promise that I won't have to carry your camera." In short, my equipment was a pain. By the third day, they hated my equipment. Well, hated until I showed them their images. They got excited and they cooperated and wanted more shots of them for their Facebook. Overall it was a nice relaxing vacation.

Party-Chita-Philippines-2007 : My sister Chita's birthday. It was held in the backyard of our old home. Home where she was born 60 years ago. 30 or so nieces and nephews later, she decided to gather everyone. It was a big happy event - not only did we have lechon, but roasted calf, too. Aloha was her 60th. She is already planning for her 65th - SAFARI. Date and place of event: April 10, 2007. Barrio Banquerohan, Cadiz, Philippines.

Gary V in Concert : Fan na ako ni Gary V for over 2 decades. Ang first concert nga nalantaw ko sa iya, newly migrated pa lang ko sa States. May(ni Jojo) and her sister Cora "took care" of me, kung weekends guina pick up ko nila to stay with them. So, in gratitude, I paid for their tickets to the concert. Since I was only earning $4.75 an hour then, we bought the CHEAPEST seats. $10.00 apiece. Sus, kagamay gamay gali kay Gary V. Adto kami sa halos wall na sang babaw sang gym. All we can see was this white outfitted performer nga kagamitoy from a distance nga ga tumbo tumbo sa stage. That was more than 20 years ago, wala pa di si Lino, wala pa ko bata, wala pa kuarta ibakal good seats. Two weeks ago, days before sang concert, nakamuno si Myra nga may show si Gary V sa L.A. sa June 7. Within minutes I asked Inday Klarisse to book us online. Siling ko basi layo ang middle seats, siling ko get the front seats. OK man dayon si Lino. Siling ko, gab i na na matapos, didto na lang tulog. OK man dayon si Lino, so, booked kami sa Westin Hotel, less than a mile from the concert. Excited na ko, 3 pm pa lang sang Saturday, June 7, dagon dagon na kami(ako, si Lino, si Inday) pa L.A. We stopped sa DJ Bibingkahan sa Carson. Daw mga manol kami kay hidlaw gid Pinoy resto. Nag order kami calamari. Tatlo namon ka kamot, ga dumog sa box sang calamari. Kanamit kay init pa. Sigue pila sigue man du-om. Pag abot sa cashier, siling ko one box order namon. Tingala ang cashier: "Bakit ang kunti lang niyan?" Lino and I grinned, "eh, naka in na namin ang kalahati." So we ate all the fattening food there is - a big break from salads and pasta. Inday ordered lechon kawali, ako kare kare, langka nga may gata, kay Lino ano gani to ah. Ah, beef caldereta kag ulo sang bangrus. May free sila nga soup nga puerte ka las ay. Siling ni Lino, ti, kay free mo. Otherwise, namit TANAN nga order namon. Ay, nag order pa gali kami bistek Tagalog, siling ni Inday: mmmm, reminds me of food at Lola Shirley's in Silay. Ang drinks nila buko juice, ako nag tubig. Damo sobra which we put inside Igloo. Inday stayed in the hotel and had calamari for dinner. Much as I wanted to bring my big camera, they emphasized on the tickets that professional cameras are not allowed. Gapagot ko kay damo nag dala big cameras nga wala man guin sita. So, I had to contend myself with the small point and shoot nga dala ko. Sige lang, daw ok man ang mga kuha. 45 minutes late ang show. Reklamo na si Lino, Pinoy gid kuno. Sus, pero sulit ang hulat. Ga wild ang audience pag gwa na niya. All I can say, wala nagkupas, nag mayo pa gid gani si Gary V. Mayo kay ang guest si Martin Nievera nga enjoy si Lino sang iya sense of humor. Reklamo si Lino, sakit left ear niya sang singgit ko. (Dala pa hampak.) Enjoy man siya. Siling ko sulit man ang $46.00 (Yes forty-six) a night nga parking sa hotel. After the concert, siling ko: "Inday, kilala ni Dad mo ang guests, ako indi ko kilala - Jabbawockee(?) dancers kag Black Peas." Sabat Inday: "Mom, it's Black Eyed Peas." On the way home, stopped for lunch naman kami sa same Bibingkahan and ordered sinugba baboy..... Enjoy gid kami and ang next naman, hopefully Apo Hiking sa Cabazon sa October, 2008. Pag download ko sang photos sa computer, kada flash sang tsura ni Gary V sa screen, daw matig-ik ako liwat - siling ni Lino: "Daw inta ka." I hope ma enjoy kamo view sang idol ko.
