Thailand was home to me and my family for three years, 2004-2007. It was a mixed feeling when we were getting ready to move back to California. Fortunately, California is a beautiful place to live, so we settled back in fairly easily. 14 months later we went back to visit Thailand. When we reached Westin, it was after 3 a.m. I couldn't wait to start shooting. So, I was out in the street within minutes. Bangkok was still asleep, except for a few at work - a security guard whom I asked to keep an eye on me, garbage trucks, and taxi drivers.
I was in Bangkok for a few days only but was able to take a lot of photos. I started early every morning when street activities were at its busiest.
It was good to be back in a city that never stopped to fascinate me. Nothing changed - the smell, the food, and oh, the TRAFFIC and the smog. I tried to pare down the number of images to post but couldn't. I wanted to share a piece of Bangkok to those who may never have the chance to see it.
