Nikki & Den - Thailand
Wedding shoot I did at the beautiful Anantara Golden Triangle Resort in Chaeng Saen, Thailand. The venue overlooks the Mekong River which borders the 3 countries - Thailand, Burma and Laos; hence, the name Golden Triangle. When I got the email from UK asking if I could shoot the wedding, I was thrilled! Who wouldn't be with 4 baby elephants as part of the entourage!
The biggest challenge on this job was the v-e-r-y s-l-o-w internet connection up in the mountains. 2 a.m. I was still uploading so slowly. 5:30 a.m. I was up again uploading as much as I can before my flight back to Bangkok. (I feel more comfortable when the images are online for safekeeping.)

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions. Thanks for viewing. Sincerely, Anna

Fireworks after the cultural show. I asked the Resort's event coordinator how much time I have left before the fireworks begin. 15 minutes he said. Plenty of time, I thought. I lugged my tripod to the balcony for a full view. I have not even unfolded the tripod nor set my big camera when I heard the fireworks. 2 minutes, not 15 minutes. In panic, I just grabbed my point and shoot Canon G11, propped it on the ledge and just started shooting.... and hoping for the best. Literally I held my breath throughout the display, afraid to shake the camera even the tiniest bit. (I must have turned blue after the whole thing!) At least one turned out decent - the rest were blurs.
